Post-it note booklet
This weekend we were in Cupertino California for a special charity event called Scrap Pink! Proceeds went to the Susan G. Koman breast cancer fund. This was a 12 hour crop with lots of make & takes. My project was this post-it note booklet. It's fun and you can make a lot of them in a short amount of time, great for little gifts or party favors. You can see mine was decorated with a pink ribbon but you could make it any way you want. Post-it note Booklet
Materials
3” x 3” post-it note pad
Two 8 1/2” x 11” pieces of white cardstock
Acrylic paints (colors of your choice)
1” circle paper punch
cutting mat
straight edge
craft knife
paper cutter
Steps
Paint one of the pieces of white cardstock using a variety of acrylic paint colors. I used a stiff brush to spackle the paint. Allow it to dry.
From the other piece of white cardstock, cut a 3” x 3” piece and a 3” x 8 ½” piece.
To form the book cover, place the post-it note pad at one end of the 3” x 8 ½” piece of cardstock and begin wrapping the cardstock around it from the long end, up and over the pad. Flip it over and continue folding. You will have a flap approximately half way down the front of the booklet when you are finished wrapping. (note: you may want to remove the pad and fold the creases sharper with a bone folder).
Using a 1” circle paper punch, punch out nine circles. Glue the nine circles to the 3”x 3” piece of white cardstock as shown.
Using a straight edge and a craft knife, cut the 3” x 3” piece of cardstock in half. Glue each half to the front of the booklet, one on the flap and one on the bottom of the booklet. Align the pieces so the dots join together in the middle.
Punch another circle (this will be the closure). Glue this dot to the center dot of the booklet taking care to only glue the top half.
Cut a slot above the bottom half of the center dot so the closure can slip into it and secure the booklet. Decorate with other dots or your own embellishments.
Enjoy!

Hetty's Visit
Our friend Hetty Sanders and her husband Raymond came for a visit last month as part of their trek across the USA. We had a GREAT workshop at Stamping Details. Hetty, of course, had to pitch in and help with the projects, no sitting still for this lady! There were quite a few members of the EnjoyMichaelStrongStamps Yahoo group in attendance including Nancie from Washington State, Cheryl from Northern California, Kathie & Judy from Arizona and local members Margaret,Barbara, Doris & Candy. Thanks to all who came to welcome our energizer bunny from The Netherlands!
