Here are the winners
of our summer card challenge. They are from left, Kathy Rossiter, Els Kondo
and Carla van der Mei. Thanks to everyone who entered a card, I loved them all.
It was hard to pick just three.
The challenge for August will be based on a technique I’ll tell you about
in my Monday Moment with Mike project tomorrow.
Kathy Rossiter – Kathy has managed to squeeze a whole lot of summer onto
her fun and well designed composition. Of course, the main focus is the
delectable ice cream (sherbet?) cone. It made me remember going to
31 flavors in our bathing suits and flip flops when we were kids and
hoping we would be able to get two scoops! Well done Kathy!
Els Kondo – Els submitted the most refreshing card! Her lighter than
air color scheme is so lovely! I also love her use of the Cloisonné Pot
to fashion the two tiered birdbath. Well done Els!
Carla van der Mei – Carla has been busy constructing sand castles at
the beach! And did you notice her clever use of index cards? The little
indentations make perfect castle pediments. This card says summer.
Well done Carla!
