Paper Greenhouse - backgrounds

A BIG thank you to all the ladies who came to Stampin' From The Heart (great store!) in Los Angeles today for our tropical card making class. Can you believe we all fit into Karen's classroom - such good sports! As promised, here are the background panels from the five cards we made. Print them out onto white cardstock and make some more cards at home. Enjoy!

May card challenge winners!

In May I asked our card making members at EnjoyMichaelStrongStamps yahoo group to design a card using the first MS stamp they purchased, and here they are! At the top, clever Leo Thompson created a delicate Japanese screen using my Cloisonne Frame stamp. Lower left is a beautifully arranged birthday card from Eileen Hubbard using my Cloisonne Medallion set. The fantastic "Mae West" card at lower right is from Yvonne Jansanbeek. Yvonne combined elements of my Cloisonne Heart and Cloisonne Vase to make this whimsical creation. Each winner will receive my brand new (not yet released) Hannah's Busy Bee Stamp & Stencil set. Thank you ladies, I love them all!

Lily's Turquoise Nuggets

I got this idea after my Grand Daughter Lily and I were coloring yesterday. We had to sharpen some of the crayons and she wanted to see inside the flap where the sharpener is. We found a bunch of colorful wax shavings which stuck together while we were cleaning them out of the box. I started to shape them into little nuggets. They looked like turquoise stones. I made a bunch of them and coated them with Transparent Gloss Gel from Viva Decor. Remember, if you make some, squeeze the wax as hard as you can between your fingers to compact them. I think they look cool and they are very sturdy. Now, what can I do with them?
